Nearly 25,000 Experiencing Power in Queensland and Victoria Following Severe Storms
Around 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms passed over the state, producing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Broad Destruction
Residents reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities announced that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

State Emergency Services responded to nearly 600 emergency reports across the state, primarily for property damage but also for fallen timber and flooding.

At one point on yesterday, over twenty-eight thousand power users in Victoria were experiencing outages.
Weather Forecast
Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.
Health Warning
Public health experts alerted that there was an greater possibility of weather-related respiratory issues across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
This caution comes after historical occurrences where comparable situations led to substantial respiratory problems in the area.
